About Right to Dignity

Our Mission, Values & Political Vision

Core Purpose

Our Mission

"To create awareness and restoring basic human rights, freedom of speech, and human dignity to all citizens of Zimbabwe."

Our Vision

Right to Dignity Congress (RDC Zimbabwe) is a non-profit organization dedicated to challenging aberrant politics in Zimbabwe and creating an awareness platform.

RDC has an ambitious vision for what Zimbabwe as a nation can be. A nation where every person is nurtured to become whoever they want to be, where if you play your part in society, you can live a happy and fulfilling life, and where we do everything in our power to secure the future for our children.

Our Core Values

"A community is democratic only when the humblest and weakest person can enjoy the highest civil, economic, and social rights that the biggest and most powerful possess."

Equality & Justice

RDC demands equal rights and equal opportunities for all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation, cherishing all the children of the nation equally.

Solidarity & Unity

We want to empower people and promote solidarity, community spirit, respect, and above all, unity. Together we are stronger, and together we can change our country.

Responsible Stewardship

Zimbabwe is rich in mineral and agricultural resources. We believe that if managed responsibly to benefit the nation as a whole, they can easily sustain and aid rapid development and food security.

Our Hope in Politics

Everybody, wherever they live, should be given a proper chance to influence the decisions that affect them. But, as it stands, Zimbabwean politics is far from delivering this. Too many Zimbabweans, for a long time, have been cheated out of a voice and a vote.

For some, that is because they have just given up and see no need to vote, as they feel that it does not matter who they vote for since the same party will always claim to have won.

We believe the people of Zimbabwe deserve and are entitled to much more than the current political system has delivered. We want an end to evident corruption and an end to nepotism. Zimbabweans work hard, and they should have good, fulfilling and well-paying jobs. The failure of governments to invest in infrastructure and skills has undermined productivity.

Democratic Reform Plan

Right to Dignity Congress has a concrete plan to radically transform our political system so that Zimbabweans can live in a truly democratic country:

  • Giving people a voice with a fair voting system so that everyone's vote counts.
  • Allowing Zimbabwean citizens living abroad to vote in national elections.
  • Ensuring the Electoral Commission is completely impartial, without Government influence.
  • Allowing election results to be audited by an independent accounting body.
